While HD overall is a go to for most - we are grateful for Menards and Competition. Seems the local Home Depot store folks are alitle
More expensive than Menards and never, ever has enough cash registers open. Most cashier are very rude. But on some things, like yard poison, they have a better selection than Menards. Plus we end up going here due to the fact they have the indoor lumber yard.
A floor employee helped me find several items. Had a great attitude and willingness to make sure that I found what I needed.
Ordered New Blinds on line. Good Online communication on delivery and timing. Stopped by the store to pick up. The IN-STORE ON-LINE OTT (Out of Touch) Person assured my wife both large custom order blinds were in one Box. Home 30 minutes later...One Box -One Blind. Called the store and spoke to two individuals who BOTH required a complete physical description of the IN-Store ON-Line HD Specialist. Three transfers later she was identified and finally took the call. She indicated the customer was wrong in this case and should have double checked. She reluctantly looked for the other set of blinds. Once located she offered no apologies and simply said we need to come back to the store.
ADHD and the IN-Store ON-Line "Specialist" seems to need an avatar to be identified. These folks are #OOT - Out Of Touch and this local Madison Home Depot Train seems to have left the station...That's Not HowIt Ot2b !
Two hours to pick up On Line provided service In Store...
Home Depot is generally a good place to find what we need. Todays visit included poor service from a man who walks with a cane. When we told him what we were looking for he said he had worked there for 30 years and never heard of that. This was said in a condescending manner letting us know we are stupid. He eventually found what we were looking for. Not a pleasant experience.
Reminds me of an Seinfeld episode. "You can hold the reservation but you can't hold the car ? That what a reservation is..."
