Now I have to waste my 1 day off going back to the Trek store to have them fix it. The level of care and quality at these big box stores is ridiculous. I've had similarly poor experiences at the Specialized bike shop. In all cases my bike was worse off when I got it back and have ALWAYS had to go back for multiple trips because they screwed something up, or multiple things.

Great quality bikes and remarkably helpful staff. I’ve been shopping for a bike for a while now and still haven’t purchased one, but the quality of the bikes and the competence of the Trek staff have me leaning hard in this direction.

Maybe if they actually rode the bike after fixing it they would realize stuff wasn't done correctly.

The experience is totally geared around you. Where and how you like to ride, what you like and what you don’t and how the different bikes and materials affect your riding experience. While all shops will do that to varying degrees, I’ve found the Trek staff to be exceptionally well informed on the bikes and their designs. These are highly engineered machines and you can feel it.

Great equipment and wonderful staff, Nicole spent most of the day helping fit me to a bike. I am super happy with my purchases and the time she spent with us! Still customers for life.

After visiting two other local bike shops for my son’s new bike we ended up at the Trek Store. From the second we walked in we received exceptional customer service from very knowledgeable staff. Within an hour we had all of our questions answered and a new bike purchased and fit.

You can also pick your price point without any upsell pressure. I’ve been given the opportunity to ride and re-ride a number of bikes over multiple occasions and every time they are willing to patiently let me make up my mind and be there to answer any questions.

First, I took it for a 200 yard ride in front of my house and it didn't want to shift into the higher chain rings that well. So apparently the screwed something up there when trying to adjust it.

I took my Farley EX 8 in for a dropper seat post issue and I also ended up getting a different handlebar stem as well as going tubeless. They were also going to give it a once over and adjust the derailer (sometimes didn't like to go into the 2 lowest chain rings all that cleanly).

Secondly, I went to put air in the newly tubeless tires to go for a ride and upon doing so, the rear valve stem was leaking air and tubeless sealant. So they didn't do that properly either.

Two years later I was ready for my first road bike (coming from a fitness hybrid). Again, for some reason, we tried another shop where we didn’t get our questions answered and were basically left to wander around on our own. We went to the Trek Store again, and again received spectacular service. This was a big dollar purchase for me, and I wanted to learn everything I could to ensure I was making a good choice. The manager worked with me several times over a couple week period, responded promptly to calls and emails, and even brought in his personal bike for me to test ride when the store didn’t have that model in my size.

If you’re shopping for a bike, you should at least stop in.

I ended up ordering a bike and absolutely love it, and loved the experience as well. I can say that I will never bother going to any other stores in the future since Trek spoiled me with great customer service, and I’m now a loyal customer.

I'm really happy with my spur of the moment purchase of a 2017 Trek 520 disc on closeout. Great bike at a great price. At 200 miles I've had to adjust brakes and rear derrailleur. The bar wrap is coming loose on the left side because they wrapped it backwards ( they didn't reverse the wrap on the left side). So far, very happy. Whoever built it needs to learn the finer points. I will probably replace tires and saddle, bit other than that, this is a great bike.
