I was hesitant to try a chain massage parlor because I doubted the quality of service. I was not surprised, though disappointed, to find the stereotype to be accurate. Throughout the entire massage, my therapist tried to sell me on a membership and also gestured throughout the conversation. While the massage felt nice, It was almost like she was trying to do as little work as possible. I would not recommend Hand and Stone, unless you are looking for someone to lightly touch your skin.
I had the best experience last night at Hand & Stone! Laureal was a magician with her technique and really did a great job on my massage! Left with a great attitude :)

I love Hand & Stone. While I don't think I've had the same massage therapist any of the times I went there, each one was courteous and skilled. I enjoy that I can customize the massage with add-ons, like scented oil, hand and foot treatments, scalp massage--just to name a few. Their loyalty/subscription program really can't be beat for the price. I also had one of the best facials I've ever received from Judy. She knows her stuff! At a lot of other places, I've just had goop spread on my face and left with my face feeling heavy and oily. Judy explains what she's doing, why she's doing it, and asks if you want certain things done. She'll even suggest specific products that might not be "in line" with the type of facial you picked. For example, I got a sensitive skin massage, but she also used some collagen enhancing products due to my weak/lack of collagen. She tailors the facial for you, and because of that, I left feeling like I got my money's worth.
My wife has gone there a few times and says that Cy is amazing. She has been to several massage therapists and says Cy is the best she's experienced. I guess I better get her another visit for her birthday. A visit with Cy seems to be at the top of her list!
