Great park with a wonderful beach area. Our puppy loves it! It's awesome to be able to take him for a nice walk through wood area without leash.
Huge! Great for ball throwing. Most of the dogs and the owners are friendly.
I don't think I've ever been to a dog park with as much access to the water. My dog (a greyhound) doesn't really get the whole swimming thing, but she loves to splash around in the shallows.
Such a large popular dog park if you live towards the northside of madison. Evrybody and dogs are friendly! Love how theres a little pond where dogs can enjoy themselves. The con is it can get pretty icy around the winter and dogs and people can hurt themselves, if only they had a rescue kit by the pond just incase a dog falls into the icy water or if somebody gets hurt.
I went here last week with my child. I was caressing a mahogany dachshund, when a chihuahua named wa wa, broke off its leash and unleashed its tongue on my child's upper calf. My child began to startle but was not nearly as upset as I. When wa wa's owner, Mark was unapologetic, I took my child and left the park without further indulgences. I will not make a return to this park in the near future, though I must acknowledge that the dogs were cute, with the exception of wa wa.
