Lot of space for activities when it's not packed. Way less busy when the students are gone. Decent playground for kids. The beach is practically non existent, generally there's too much algae to even consider swimming. Beautiful sunset views!
I admit that I haven't been to all the parks in Madison but have been to quite a few of them. I would rate this as one of the best of all those I visited. Has basketball courts and areas where you can play volleyball and other games. Has a play area for kids. Arrive at around sunset time and you get to witness a beautiful sunset with the foreground of Lake Mendota. Well maintained. Has a tiny beach too.
kids..
Nice sunsets close to square,it is small but has vollyball basketball & climb/slide 4
Open lakeside park with beach front for summertime swimming with public bathroom and showers. Valleyball court, play equipment for children as well as 3 PokéStops and 2 Gyms for the Pokémon Go players.
Nice large open park next to Lake Mendota. There's a basketball court, volleyball court, canoeing/kayaking, and a great open field for pets, picnics, and activities. Try to catch the sunset if youre there - it's a gorgeous view that's one of my favorites around!
