Never stayed there, but it was fun eating some appetizers on the rooftop at 11pm. Great view - not that far from the Capitol building. Surprisingly decent prices.
Beautiful, brand new, chic, upscale hotel with bar and restaurant.and direct view of the capital building. At night its stunning! There's a bar on main floor with all glass windows surrouding. I've heard great things about the restaurant upstairs but I don't know what type of cuisine. It must be good since the valet had a long line and people going in were trendy and nicely dressed. Visitors aren't able to access rooms without guest accompanying them. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
This is an excellent hotel, trust me I know hotels! My co-worker and I had the pleasure of enjoying the French breakfast on the 10th floor (only $15 pp) weekday. We both were extremely impressed with the views, the cappuccino, the freshly baked croissants, imported cheeses, and 5 varieties of quiche. Delicious!!! The service was exemplary and friendly!!! Love this place in Madison!!!!
Started out rough but finished with a flourish. One HUGE pet peeves I have with hotels is their "check-in" time. A room that is not ready by their published time is unacceptable to me. I used mobile check-in on the app. It asked me for my arrival time with the default set to 4:00. Of course when you pay +$250 for a night, you want to spend as much time in the room as allowed. I changed the arrival time to 3:00 and a message popped up telling me "we need an hour to prepare for your arrival. Room cannot be guaranteed before 4:00. WHAT?!? Well, we did arrive at the hotel early (2:25) anyway and of course, our room was not ready yet. We were told it should be ready in about 30 minutes. Well, that was fine. 3:00 rolled around and I walked up to the desk to inquire the status of our room. Not ready yet. Guy looks busy on the computer and calling housekeeping and conversing with another person who proceeds to walk over to me and apologize for the delay. Housekeeping is working very hard to get your room clean because we don't want to send you to a dirty room. WHAT?!? I go back and sit down (it is now 3:15) and vent to my poor husband and as I am venting, the woman walks over and tells me our room is now ready. We had reserved an Executive, Corner Suite. After checking in and getting our keys, we made our way to the 8th floor. By the way, you cannot use the elevator without a key card...... Not sure how you get up to Eno Vino. Well, upon opening the door and seeing the suite and view (it is now 3:30), all anger disappeared. This was our first stay at AC and it will not be our last. The suite was amazing and the view of the capital was unbelievable. Everything from that point on was wonderful and had no issues.
What a wonderful hotel! We went there for dinner up on the 10th floor, and had an incredible experience. The menu is all tapas style, where everyone orders multiple dishes to share with one another. The room is very nice, with dark wood paneling and an incredible view of the state house. The staff was courteous, attentive and efficient, and valet parking is available. This is a must see!
