Not an enormous selection at this bakery, but it is worth driving across town to get to.
I needed a doughnut fix, but found way more, can't wait to go back, when in the area.
The apple fritter... OMG. It's worth the $5 if you think about how long it's going to take to eat it. No wait, based on deliciousness. Verdict: even though I bought it around noon, no stale or dry areas in this monster fritter, all areas deliciously moist and chewy.
Best donuts I've ever had and only $1?! I usually prefer cake donuts, but I even like the regular ones because they are cooked to perfection. They have great variety and are open almost always. They don't get swept up in offering too crazy of flavors, but they still have a great amount of variety, ranging from the classic glazed to Oreo with buttercream filling.
They make the best apple fritter!!! And kosher too!
This donut place is a hidden gem in Madison WI. My wife and I stopped by few days ago. We bought one apple fritter (very huge) and a half dozen of donuts. Everything was perfect! I will definitely visit here when I am back to Madison, WI. Strongly recommended!
My son and I were looking for a place to "waste" some time before an appointment and found Greenbush Bakery. The donuts are amazing and only a dollar! The lady at the counter was really nice and tolerant of a talkative and messy three-year-old. We will definitely return!
