3. Classes/tutoring services were not as how they described/agreed upon

1. Being mislead into the FLEX program over 5 months ago

After spending hours on the phone with this smooth talker and sending him my physical evidence he manipulated the situation and convinced me that this injustice done by FLEX would be taken care of. I submitted over 15 pages of physical evidence that proved my claims and I'm informed I've been denied due to "lack of evidence." On top of it all, to add insult to injury he decided he would send me another email telling me how the ASC who called me snarky and a liar didn't do anything wrong.

2. Being forced to stay in the program based on FASFA credit requirements

6. The UW FLEX ASC overstepping boundaries and stating that he will not do his job (breach of academic-student contract)

I have found constant outdated learning material pertains both to my Geography and Chemistry class. The Geography class used labs that had websites linked to the homework that hadn't been updated in TWELVE years! Some sites were broken all together. The Chemistry book had error after error in the exercise answer section, leading one to believe they had gotten the wrong answer, when in fact you have the correct one. The worst example of a class I've ever seen.

As stated before, I was told conflicting things by staff compared to the actuality of the program. The website states I'll have an ASC help me throughout my studies. I went through 2 ASC's (Academic Success Coach) and was denied service by one of them for basically the last month of my subscription period (breach of academic-student agreement). If you log in and use the live feature even once you'll see this.

Overpriced. Looks better than it is. Surprisingly bad Data Sci program. Not worth the money! Poorly taught. I expected UW to be better than a community college. They're not. Try MATC instead, they're waaaay better!

4. Website/staff information do not reflect the actual program

When is it ever acceptable for one of the UW staff (Mike Exum) to call a student (especially one with a disability) names, like "Snarky", and refuse to provide him with the service he spent his tuition on? That is absolutely appalling and I cannot believe that I was denied a rightful service and belittled over email over something as childish as name calling. That cost me 5 weeks of studies switching ASC's and having to deal with not having ANY help.

These classes and tutoring services were not at all as they were described as. Almost every time I went on NETTUTOR I had to wait an hour and thirty minutes every time to get connected to a tutor. Then when I did get connected to a tutor, more than half of the time it was someone who spoke broken English and couldn't even understand what I was typing. You cannot copy or paste in the tutoring program, nor video or voice call. I was mistreated by a tutor and made to wait an hour and a half over and over one day (for hours on end) so he could try and get a rise out of me.

I was juggled between half a dozen different people over the course of two weeks prior to enrolling in FLEX. They made FLEX out to be a program that had some sort of Teacher-Student feedback throughout the course. After the third week or so of classes and realizing this I contacted my ASC Blake and spoke to him about the discrepancies.

After signing my FASFA loan for the first time in my life and already spending a good amount out of it for school/living expenses, I was forced to stay in the program regardless of the non existent teacher-student feedback/communication. This is on the basis that I took a single competency set for my first subscription period (3 credits) which meant I would have to take an all you can learn competency set for my second subscription period (2 classes) to make up the 9 credits left needed to fill my 12 credit FASFA requirement. (This is all due to being mislead into this program in the first place. I left my full time manager job of 3 years to go back to school full time, and relied on FASFA to support me through my education.)

5. Learning material being outdated or non-working altogether, answer key in books with WRONG answers

7. Dean Joseph Foy manipulating and taking advantage of his position
