6. The UW FLEX ASC overstepping boundaries and stating that he will not do his job (breach of student-academic contract)

I have found constant outdated learning material pertains to both my GEO class and to the Chemistry class I took. The Geography class used labs that had websites linked to the homework that hadn't been updated in 12 (twelve) years. If you look at the GEO labs you will see that the material linked either is outdated, or don't work. Some sites and animations were broken all together. The Chemistry book that was used for the class had error after error in the exercise answer section, leading to believe I'd gotten the wrong answer when in fact I had the correct one. They way Chemistry was set up compared to GEO is the worst example of a class I've ever seen. Let's talk about that. I've attached photos.

Now I'm sure this is going to get deleted, if so please feel free to contact me.

I was juggled between half a dozen different people over the course of two weeks prior to enrolling into FLEX. They made FLEX out to be a program that had some sort of Teacher-Student feedback throughout the course. After the third week or so of classes and realising this I contacted my first ASC Blake and spoke on him about the discrepancies.

1. Being mislead into the FLEX program over 5 months ago (I’d have to go into further detail)

These classes and tutoring services were not at all as they were described as. Almost every single time I went on NETTUTOR I had to wait an hour and thirty minutes almost every time to get connected to a a tutor. Then when I did get connected to a tutor. Half of the time it was someone who's poke broken English who couldn't even understand what I was asking. You cannot copy or paste in the tutoring program, nor video or voice call. I was mistreated by a tutor and made to wait an hour and a half over and over and over one day trying to get a rise out of me. Then when he connected he disconnected me right away. This can all be tracked in NETTUTOR’s software through FLEX.

3. Classes/tutoring services were not as how they were described/agreed upon

As stated before, I was told conflicting things by staff compared to the actuality of the program. The website states I'll have an ASC to help me throughout my studies. I went through 2 ASC’s and was denied service by one of them for basically the last month of my last subscription period (breach of student-academic agreement). The tutoring program is not at all as described on the website, if you log on and use the live feature even once you'll see this.

When is it ever acceptable for one of the UW staff (MIke Exum) to call a student (especially one with an anxiety disorder) names, like snarky, and refuse to provide him with the service he spent his tuition for? That is absolutely appalling and I cannot believe that I was denied a rightful service and belittled over email through something as childish as name calling. That cost me 5 weeks just switching ASC’s and having to deal with not having any help.

Being mistreated, ignored, and called names by an ASC (which directly effected my studies).

After signing my FASFA loan for the first time in my life and already spending a good amount out of it for school/living expenses, I was forced to stay in the program regardless of no teacher-student feedback/communication. This is on the basis that I took a single competency set for my first subscription period (3 credits) which meant I would have to take an all you can learn competency set for my second subscription period (2 classes) to make up the 9 credits left needed to fill my 12 credit FASFA requirement. (This is all due to being mislead I to this program in the first place. I left my full time manager job of 3 years to go back to school full time, and relied on those FASFA to support me through my education.)

4. Website/Staff information do not reflect the real program

5. Learning material being outdated or non working altogether, answer keys in books with wrong answers.

2. Being forced to stay in the program based on FASFA credit requirements
