Saw Dirty Heads on Nov 18 2017...even being in a balcony I felt close to the stage and the sound quality was excellent. The Orpheum is now home to my favorite concert of all time!
I went on the Orpheum Theaters page to buy tickets for a concert in December 2017. I bought tickets through what I thought was either Ticket Master or the Orpheum Theater. I was actually buying them through a place called Box Office ticket Sales. Which comes up on The Orheum Theaters ticket sales. This I felt was very misleading on the Orpheum Theaters part. When I spoke to someone at the the Orpheum they had no idea what I was talking about. I am a first time buyer and feel like the Orpheum should be warning first time buyers of this problem. I'm sure this hasn't been the first time people have been taken. To me this makes the Orpheum look bad! They are allowing people to scam customers. To me it's bad for business for the Orpheum! They should be looking out for customers and WARNING them off this on their site. I've lived in Madison all my life and would think this would never be allowed to go on. It's sad that people can steal your money especially when you're disabled! I hope the Orpheum takes a look at who is selling tickets on their website! Don't know if I will ever see the concert. This Sucks!
We went to the Orpheum Theatre on November 2, 2017 to see Kip Moore. We originally bought general admission tickets (standing only). While in line, Larry, an Orpheum employee, offered upgraded balcony seat tickets for an additional $40 per person. We took this opportunity immediately. To our surprise, we were able to advance to the beginning of the line, and also have access to the VIP lounge with our own bathrooms. Larry was more than helpful by showing us to our seats and periodically checking on us to see if we were ok. His customer service was stellar and he exceeded any expectations. The concert and performance was excellent; however, our experience was greatly enhanced by Larry's customer service. Thank you Orpheum and Larry for going above and beyond!
Beautiful historical building. Somewhat too small of a building for the high level of sound bands wish to produce. At one break, the man in back of me commented that he believed his ears were bleeding :) Easy entrance and exit, safe and well lit parking nearby, nice and helpful staff at venue. I would visit again as the price is affordable. Give them a try.
Beautiful theater with a great assortment of concerts and shows! The people there are always friendly and helpful.
