East town has definitely gone down hill over the years I remember the mall being a fun place to go and shop and get what you wanted but now it seems like there are tons of ghetto people around swearing and talking very loud saying the n word my son does not need to hear or be around that so we will be going elsewhere plus there are no placed to get a meal besides a Chinese restaurant that taste very poor at best no taste or taco bell I would rater starve. West town seems to be running a lot better but they still have a lot of ghetto people hanging around.
Decent amount of stores in operation compared to most 70s era malls. Very busy with a lot of children though. Parking is not a problem although the lot is in need of resurfacing in places.
Diverse population of stores and wares. Sentimentally decorated for the holiday season, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth. Department stores notated by directional signs hung from ceiling eliminate the absolute requirement to locate a map of mall (helpful for those of us easily distracted by the hustle and bustle of surroundings on the ground!).
Macy's and West Towne have a superior selection across the board... unlikely I'll return.
Very disappointed in the brands available. It's not 1999 anymore, so why so much Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger-branded apparel? Literally everything being on sale reflects desperation and lack of confidence in quality of merchandise.
I'd give them 5 but was recently told in one of the (nearly empty) bistro theaters that they now have a one item minimum purchase in the bistros. As far as I can tell, this is not posted anywhere. They leave It up to the poor kid working the bistro to tell you. It was approximately 2 o'clock on a weekday afternoon. We'd just had lunch and didn't want anything. We picked the movie for the time, not the food/theater. So now IF I did want popcorn or pop I'm supposed to buy it in the theater? So I can give them a tip and be interrupted with the bill for something it's easier to pick up on the way in? I'm rather disappointed in Marcus.
