I have never met an entire staff more dedicated to helping my dog. My dog and I have graduated scrappers class and dream team and we will be back for canine good citizen at least. They are caring and willing to spend all the time needed one on one to help you learn how to train your best friend.
I have taken my puppy to the Dog Den a handful of times now and she freaking loves it. The staff know her by name when she arrives and its like dropping your kid off at school - but I know she's in good hands. She comes back to me exhausted and its a good thing. She's so excited to go in - its freaking adorable.
My dog loves everyone here. Every time we pull up, her tail starts wagging a mile a minute. She's taken all the obedience classes, treibball, and agility classes and loves the trainers. We moved closer to another daycare, but I would never consider taking my dog any where else. It is worth the extra 15 minute drive because I know she is well looked after here.
I went to The Dog Den today with my sweet foster dog who gets too excited when he sees other dogs on walks. The trainer I worked with, Debbie, was great. She asked the right questions and assessed my needs and the dog's needs. I left feeling more confident and able to help my wonderful foster dog. :-) She obviously had previous experience with my foster's issue and gave me some great, positive, training tips (and even a tip for me on how to stay relaxed when we see another dog on walks)! I recently had another lesson with Dog Den, and it was obvious that my foster dog had improved between lessons thanks to their tips! My foster dog is doing a lot better, and it's all thanks to The Dog Den!
She did come home with a scratch on her face once but that was also due to my dog not knowing how to properly greet other dogs (she gets too excited and just wants to say "Hi" to every one even if they don't want to play). The staff took note and made sure to put her in a different play group the next week.
I have nothing but good things to say about the Dog Den. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and very good with all the dogs. My puppy is on the shy side and they have been wonderful in helping her build confidence and proper play habits while at daycare. She wags her tail when we get there in the morning and collapses in her crate when I take her home at the end of the day. The puppy play groups on Saturdays are also wonderful opportunities for pup parents to practice recognizing proper play behaviors and facilitating play breaks. Play groups are also a great time to practice recalls and attention with lots of distractions!
