My daugter Savannah has been attending there for the last two years. The experience has been wonderful for her, her faith has deepened and the support she has received from the staff and from others attending has furthered her spiritual development.
As a member of the student leadership council and board of directors, I have had the experience to volunteer my time in hospitality, event planning, strategic planning, and general leadership for the church. Pres House has provided me an excellent way to meet new people, eat great food, and come together and give back in a community.
Pres House has been a home away from home for me as I attend graduate school in Madison. It has been a rock in the ever-changing days and struggles of university life, and I know I can count on a good laugh (or cry) in the presence of my friends.
Weekly small groups allow me to explore my spirituality, ask questions, and create deeper connections with others in a honest and trusting group of students who listen and do not judge. I am able to be myself, rather than hide behind my protective layer of confidence and strength.
Overall, this has changed me for the better. It has not only provided me a home and family as I move through this chapter of my life's adventure. It has given me a foundation and safe place to start asking questions about my faith, values, and future aspirations that I did not think about before.
I participated at Pres House while I was a graduate student in Madison. This campus ministry is a caring place with a variety of people and lots of chances to learn and try new things and have fun.
The congregation is very welcoming and inclusive. They live by the saying "Bring all of who you are and find yourself among friends."
I love this church so much. This place was an essential, safe, and open place for me to grapple with faith. It quickly became my home away from home and drew me into God's spirit. The people are second to none.
