I occasionally still enjoy going to this St. Vinnie's location because it's the first one I went to as a kid and I used to find awesome stuff there at fair prices. However, things have changed and not for the better. Now, everything is picked through, the prices are outrageous and for a couple dollars I could buy a new pair of pants or what have you. I think they take advantage of the all the hipsters in the neighborhood now and have forgotten that there is people who rely on 2nd shopping. Not because "it's cool" or trendy. I go there once in a great while because it's so over priced for free donated items. I have a hard time spending money there. I prefer other locations by far! Too bad, really. I love the staff there though!!! They are super cool and helpful!
Large assortment of second-hand items, furniture, clothing, etc. It has a donation area in its parking lot in the loading bay/doors. Small amount of parking, but accessible via bus ride. Offers discounts on certain days to Seniors. Bought a used Columbia coat here when I was younger through my mother, and it lasted me until I was over 23 years old.
I've known about St. Vincent De Paul for quite a while and finally went into one of their shops here in Madison. So many different categories of items for sale. The place was very busy - very popular. I found many items I'd love to buy, but of course could only buy a few. Always on a budget
